For me, the first socratic seminars was an interesting one. My classmates seemed to know what they were talking about and questions rose based on the content of the book “The World in 2050” and the Edward Burtynsky’s TED Talk on Manufactured Landscapes were worth discussing. Some people also led the seminar to keep it smooth and that was very helpful. Although I was totally not satisfied with my performance yesterday, I liked the topic we discussed that was very much like the issues raised in MUN conferences. Also, I really appreciate some of the classmates for helping me out to provide a chance for me to talk. I hope to be able to wipe away my shyness to get involve with the debate more and to have a note with my thoughts organized on the next seminar.
